The successful candidate will manage the U9-U16 Football Programme in line with the club’s Academy Philosophy and the Academy Performance Plan, and to take lead responsibility for ensuring the core KPI’s of the EPPP are effectively measured, assessed and achieved within the Foundation and YDP Phases.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting with the development and integration of the Academy Coaching Philosophy and ensuring that a uniform approach to both training and fixtures is evident across all U9-U16 teams.

Manage the U9-U16 Games Programme and ensure that the Academy ‘Coaching Methodology’ is implemented accurately throughout the Phases

Assist the Head of Coaching in the management and develop the Academy Coaching Library, facilitated by the PMA, to ensure the highest quality sessions are delivered across the U9-U16 Phases.

Manage & deliver a comprehensive tours & tournaments programme, both domestic and international for all age groups.

Oversee the player review system (Macro “Position Specific ‘Traffic Light’ Profile”, Meso “6 Weekly Review” & Micro “Weekly Review”) to individualised programmes.To be a member of the Academy Management Team and play a role in the strategic development of the academy programme

Participate in the weekly Academy multi-disciplinary meetings and provide strategic direction when necessary.

Manage and provide direction to all Foundation & YDP Phase Lead Coaches & CoachesCollate & manage a library of Technical Match Reports (TMR’s)

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have skills and experience in the following areas: -

Education, Qualifications, Experience

Level 4 (UEFA A) Coaching Certificate (E)

Advanced Youth Award (E)

Emergency Aid Certificate (E)

Minimum two years previous experience in similar role. (E)

Member of the FA Coaches Club (D)

Enhanced DBS (or ability to obtain one) (E)
